ISPa45 is 90% aa similar to ISPa1635.
This insertion sequence has been found truncating the oprD gene of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Ps33 strain. This inactivation of the oprD gene could be the cause of the carbapenem resistance phenotype in this strain.
