ISAzba1 is 38% aa similar to ISTesp2. ISAzba1 was found to be involved in cointegrate formation between an Azospirillum brasilense Sp245 85-MDa plasmid (p85) and a suicide plasmid vector pJFF350 (Omegon with oriV from pBR322 + oriT + IS1 defective in transposition) which has been constructed by Fellay, R., Krisch, H.M., Prentki, P., and Frey, J. (Gene, 1989, 76, 215–226). The left and right flanks of the ISAzba1 insertion site refer to DNA of pJFF350 and p85, correspondingly.
