ISPmar3 has been identified by its transposition into entrapment vector pMAT1 (sacB cassette). ISPmar3 contains two sequences, 5’-GCTGGTGc-3’ (position 713, 1 mismatch) and 5’-GCTGGTGc-3’ (position 1004, 1 mismatch), similar to the Chi sites, which specify the place of action for RecBCD nuclease.
