ISApi1 was found in p1_100020, a GR13-type plasmid from Acinetobacter pittii WCHAP100020, which was isolated in Chengu, China in 2015. Two copies of ISApi1 are present in the WCHAP100020 chromosome. This insertion sequence is also present in other species of this genus, such as Acinetobacter nosocomialis.
