ISPsp2 putative transposase is 58 % identical to that of IS1096. ISPsp2 has apparently transposed into the 3' end of the pheA gene (phenol 2-monooxygenase), and the last 8 codons (7 aa) of pheA correspond to the 5' end of ISPsp2.
